Announcing the birth of our baby
We just thought that we could start out with news about the birth of our baby. Here he is in his little carseat.
Here he is about 2 years later. I know, I know, it was cruel to make you think that the second one was born, but we must remember this baby. Well, Michael WAS our little baby, but he doesn't really fit in the baby carseat anymore. Yes he is sitting in the carseat in both pictures.

Since we had divested ourselves of our previous carseat before moving down here, we had to go and get a new carseat. Here it is... without a baby in it. We bought a carseat finally. It works as well as we could hope. It is also fairly light. This was a big selling point. A 8 lbs seat doesn't seem like too much until you put a 8 lbs baby in it. Then for some reason it feels like it is 30 lbs. I know it doesn't physically make any sense, but it just keeps pulling down on your arm as long as you are holding it.
Michael decided to try out a new career as a DJ. Well, the headphones are a little too large for his head, but they actually seem to block out the loud vacuum at least.
To give you an idea of just how big our little tickle-monster has grown, here he is tickling the baby. Yes, he seems to know exactly where the baby is. Oh, he is also 3 feet tall now.
Well, maybe the next post will begin with information about a baby too... hopefully the one getting tickled.

Well, it seems that there are a lot of changes, both in the immediate and extended families. We want to wish all of our siblings congratulations on all of the developments in their lives.
Ours has been changing as well. I went to the doctor yesterday to find out that the baby has dropped and my body is preparing to have the baby. Unfortunately that means they baby could come tomorrow or wait for another five weeks. They would like to put off is coming for at least another week, but there is no way to tell exactly when he will come. They think he might come early like Michael did, but there is no guarantee. So I am off of bed rest and on limited activity. This means I can leave the house and walk around a little bit! How very exciting! Yesterday we all took a walk to get the mail. It was wonderful!
Michael is definitely a little boy now. He walks and talks and pretends like all other little boys his age. He was putting his fist up to his eye the other day, saying it was his spyglass and that he was going to go see what Dad was doing. It was really cute.
Dad is doing well in his classes. He has been an amazing help during the time I have been on bed rest. I could not have survived without his support. Between me, the apartment, and his classes, he has kept very busy.
What a past few months!
