Our "Pantry"

So, we have been debating about it for the last few months, but yesterday we finally did it. We bought some wire shelves (known as Metro Shelves to our family.) The story was fairly interesting. I was waiting for someone to come to look at the car we are trying to sell, but we wanted to get this shelving. So, off my 35 week pregnant wife went to Sam's Club to buy these shelves. When she got to the store, she totally played the pregnancy card. She goes down the isle where they have these stocked, and an employee was down there. She kindly asked him if he could get it off the shelf for her. He was happy to. He said to her to make sure to ask for help getting it out to the car once she got to the door to leave. She did. So another young man came and with great effort and struggling, loaded this 80+ lbs box into the car. She came back home and said to me, "Do you want to get it out of the car now?" She has figured out how to play the pregnancy card.

After an hour or so of putting it together and keeping the boys off of it, we had a shelf, which we quickly filled. Fortunately, it is supposed to have a 600 lbs capacity per shelf. We are going to try to keep it under 600 lbs total. I even found my plumber's strap for anchoring it to the wall. While we hope the boys won't want to play on it, we are realistic and understand that it looks like a fun toy for them. Now, if we only had like 3 more shelves like it, we would have enough storage.

So, on other news, Michael gave his first talk today in primary. Of course, we were there to watch/read the words into his ears. He was all smiles. He did a really good job. Afterward, we were all smiling and very glad for our son.

****** Caution - Potty Talk Below *******

Isaac has shown a new interest in peeing at times when he is not in his diaper. Most of the time, that means in the bath, but with the potty chair (which sits on the toilet) he has been peeing in the toilet and not the bath. He really likes it. We knew it would not be without incident. He pee-ed on the bathroom floor today while waiting for the potty seat to get set up, but then after he still pee-ed more in the toilet. We are glad for his interest.
